Do you travel internationally? If so, then it is important that you download and install 2 apps on your phone before your next trip. These two apps will help make traveling a whole lot easier. The first app is google maps which can be downloaded for free in the apple store or android play store. This app allows its users to see all of the places they are visiting while also providing directions to get there as well as reviews from other travelers about each location. The second most important app for international travelers is google translate which translates words and phrases at the press of an icon, meaning no more awkward conversations with people who speak different languages!
Google Maps or Apple Maps
The single most useful app on your phone while traveling to a new city or country is your phones Map program. I cannot tell you how many times I have used this app while navigating around a foreign country, and it never fails to deliver.
Google Maps or Apple Maps?
This is a difficult question because both apps are so useful in their own way. However, google maps seems more detailed. It allows users to pinpoint exactly where they want to go on the map which makes finding hotels or restaurants much easier than apple maps does. Google also has reviews of locations written by other travelers that may come in handy as well as directions with estimated travel time needed for each leg of your journey!
Apple’s Map program though is still pretty good too-especially if you’re looking for somewhere specific like an airport terminal. A big benefit of Apple Maps is that it pairs with an Apple Watch so you don’t have to take your phone out of your pocket. You are able to be a bit more discrete.
A Translator app – Google Translate
Another app I can’t do without while traveling internationally is Google translate. Sometimes you may not have the words to express what you want or need – but Google translate has a great dictionary that can help. Plus, it’s just fun!
The app translates in real time so I don’t even have to bother with typing anything out sometimes which is awesome when I’m trying to order food on my phone and am really hungry. I can just speak into the app and the app will read out the translation to the person I’m speaking to!
The best part of this app is that it offers offline translations for use without an internet connection.
This author’s favorite feature of the app is that you can take a picture of a sign and the app will translate it for you.
I also love that there is a camera mode that translates text in real time on the screen. The app has more than 100 languages and dialects available, so no matter where I’m at traveling to this handy little tool can be my best friend!
In conclusion, if you’re going to be traveling internationally or just want to brush up on your language skills then Google Translate is an invaluable app for both situations.
